    1. Stay up to date with advocacy news on key national and state issues impacting physicians, patients and the health care environment. Catch up on the latest news by viewing recent issues and subscribing to this biweekly newsletter.
  2. Join the AMA Physicians Grassroots Network

    1. Connect with physicians from across the country and advocate for solutions to our nation’s health care challenges—no one is more qualified to help guide members of Congress as they draft, debate and enact health care legislation than those who deliver quality care to patients every day.
  3. Become a member of the AMA Very Influential Physicians program

    1. Take on a leadership role in grassroots activities—and learn how to build and leverage connections with members of Congress to advance our shared agenda on Capitol Hill.

    1. Dive into the nuts and bolts of key issues to physicians and patients—and what the AMA is doing to help.
  6. Read about AMA advocacy efforts

    1. There are far too many everyday practice challenges interfering with patient care. That's why the AMA is advocating to keep physicians at the head of the health care team, reform the Medicare physician payment system, relieve the burden of overused prior authorizations and so much more. This is how we fight.
  7. Attend advocacy events

    1. The AMA State Advocacy Summit and National Advocacy Conference put you on the ground to directly affect state and federal health policy by getting the information you need. The 2025 State Advocacy Summit will take place on Jan. 9-11 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. The 2025 National Advocacy Conference will occur on Feb. 10-12 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. Save the date—registration information will be posted when it is available.
